My jewelry
line first came to me when I was in Thailand. I took a photo of
the ocean
that appeared so clear and green that it looked like a stone from
a distance. A few
months
later in Indonesia, I discovered a silver mining town. One idea led
to another and Indah designs was created. In Bahasa, indah means "beautiful
view." The beautiful views I have seen around the world have
been my inspiration.
I personally
create every part of my jewelry. I take all the photos, write the
stories, design the lockets, observe the casting of the silver and
create the boxes. The necklaces are all .925 sterling silver and have
a unique design on the reverse side. There is a small latch that can
be opened on the backs so the photos can be removed. You can share
my travels or replace the picture with your own special memories.
The boxes are handmade out of butterfly leaf and tied with dried grass.
This entire process makes all of my jewelry very personal to me and
hopefully special to my customers.
I hope
you like it.
